Travel Articles & Features
by Sarah Bilton
I write immersive, place-led travel features that combine history, culture, landscape and lived experience.
My work focuses on understanding places through the people, stories and environments that shape them, rather than simply describing where to go.
Below is a travel feature that reflects my style and approach.
I also take my own photographs, using images to support reporting rather than stage it.
Topics I particularly enjoy covering:
- Historic towns and layered landscapes
- Art, architecture and cultural identity
- Lesser-known regions with strong stories to tell
- Walking routes and slow travel
- The relationship between past and present in a place
