Cultural travel writer and English conversation teacher working inside communities, not just visiting them.
Introduction
I’m a qualified secondary Business teacher, TEFL English teacher, and cultural travel writer who spends extended time living in places, observing and recording daily life through art, history, food, landscape, and local culture.
I don’t pass through destinations. I stay long enough to understand them.
I write about what I observe and photograph what I see, using images to support reporting rather than stage it.
What I do
While living in each location, I also run small-group English conversation classes designed to help local people gain the confidence to speak English through the subjects I know best: culture, history, travel, and daily life.
These are not traditional lessons. They are cultural conversations in English.
Travel, for me, is not about seeing places. It is about understanding how people live — and helping others find the language to do the same.
